Dashboard

The Dashboard is the first thing you see after signing in. It summarizes the births you’ve recorded into tiles and charts, so you can spot patterns across your practice that you can’t see one record at a time.

Everything on this page is scoped to your practice, and only completed births count — a birth is included once its outcomes are entered and the record is completed.

Getting set up

While your practice is still being set up, a Get started checklist sits at the top with the message “A few steps to set up your practice.” and a 2 of 5-style progress counter. Each step has a Start button that takes you to the action. The checklist disappears once every step is done, so an established practice never sees it. It only shows to roles that can manage records — the read-only Viewer role doesn’t see it.

Choosing what the dashboard shows

A control row across the top steers the charts below. Change any control and the tiles and charts re-compose immediately.

Scope — choose My practice’s dashboard (everyone in the practice) or My dashboard (only the births you attended).
Timeframe — a rolling window, e.g. Last 12 months. The five count tiles carry their own fixed periods and don’t follow this control; everything else does.
Add benchmarking averages — tick a registry benchmark to overlay the de-identified registry average onto the rate trends, so you can read your practice against the aggregate.

The Key on the right explains the marks: a solid line is My rate for the period, a dashed line is the Benchmark.

The charts

Vaginal births and Cesarean births donuts show the mode-of-birth mix as a share of births in the period.
Births — a monthly bar chart of volume over the timeframe.
Total cesarean rate and NTSV cesarean rate — rate trends over time, each showing your headline rate and, if you enabled it, the benchmark overlay.

Headline tiles

A row of tiles links straight into the underlying records: Patients, Pregnant patients, Births, Completed births, and Babies. If some completed births are still missing required fields, the Completed births tile notes how many (e.g. “3 missing required fields”) — they’re still counted, not excluded.

Clinical rates

The Clinical rates section shows the maternity rates for your practice over the last 12 months, each as a percentage with its sample size (n=…). A rate reads — until there are births to measure it against. Until you have finalized births in the window, you’ll see “No finalized births in the last 12 months yet — your clinical rates will appear here once births are completed.” These aggregate rates are visible to every role, including Viewer.
